Sales and Use Tax

Sales and Use tax is located under Custom Charges under the General Tab in Settings. Input the tax rate for the state where you are doing business.

For Texas it is currently 6.25 percent for the 2024 year.

If your catalog items have a fixed tax, it's recommended to use Global Tax through Custom Charges. If the product tax varies by item, utilize this feature to configure the tax percentage accordingly.

Note: While using this feature, you can consult with the Administrator to decide whether product prices should include taxes or be displayed separately on the customer's cart through inclusive or exclusive tax configuration. Please note this cannot be achieved while using custom charges for Global Product Tax.
